A digital system of seed control will be developed in Kazakhstan

Work of national agrochemical service will be improved and digital system of seeds control will be created, World of NAN reports referring to Kazinform MIA.

Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev spoke about the initiatives at the government hour in the Senate.

"We will allocate the necessary funds to improve the work of the Republican Agrochemical Service. To improve the accuracy of information on the agrochemical composition of soils, the method of sampling is being changed. Now soil samples will be taken every 20 hectares instead of the current 75 hectares," said Yerbol Karashukeyev.

In addition, the minister noted, structural measures will be implemented by strengthening the activities of the land inspectorate, creating a single vertical line and combining the capabilities of disparate structures for monitoring soil fertility.

"In addition, we have begun work on bringing order to the seed production system. Among them is the transfer of scientific organizations to modern methods of breeding and creation of an orderly system of seed farms on the basis of scientific and experimental farms of the National Agrarian Research and Education Center. Also development of digital system of seed control is carried out, which will allow establishment of strict control over movement of seed material throughout the country. All this will change the situation in crop production, achieve real results in improving the sustainability of its development and competitiveness. Only this way we will be able to further increase export potential achieved today, maintaining its level of competition in world food markets, "- summarized Yerbol Karashukeyev.
