Almaty agrarians will have a new window for the sale of agricultural products

An automated logistic hub of class A+ with a total area of 200,000 square meters will be built in Almaty region, which will be one of the largest of the existing ones in Kazakhstan. The commissioning of the project will bring $200 million in investments into the region's economy and create about 1,500 jobs.

"The logistic hub will create a new window for the sale of agricultural products of our agrarians, which is very significant, since about 28-30% of the volume of agricultural products of the country falls on the Almaty region. Secondly, it will provide them with financial leverage and hence open new opportunities to support SMB", - said Akim of the region while signing the document.

According to the agreement, the investment project will be realized during 5 years in stages. The logistic complex will be located in Iliyskiy district. In addition to its main function, commissioning of the facility will open access to the online marketplace "Airba Marketplace" for product placement and customer involvement.

Also, using the capabilities of the online platform "Airba Fintech", agricultural producers will be able to receive concessional financing and replenishment of working capital, to make deals to sell their products to major trading networks without intermediaries, and young professionals will have the opportunity to get affordable mortgages to purchase or improve housing. In this case, all services will be provided online, without visiting financial institutions and providing information on paper.

It is worth noting that LLP "AIRBA FF" - a company that combines both digital technology, and the real sector in the form of storage infrastructure, courier delivery and pickup points. It is the first logistics operator in the country that operates warehouses, main logistics and delivery services to customers and partners.
