The best sheep were chosen at a competition in the Turkestan region

A regional exhibition competition of sheep was held in Arys, where 200 rams competed for the title of the best, World of NAN reports with reference to the regional akimat.

The exhibition was organized by Arys entrepreneur Almaz Shukurbekov and representatives of farms. According to the rules of the competition, the jury assessed the sheep by weight, height and exterior. Rams weighing from 145 kg to 200 kg were presented.

A sheep named "Hector" with a height of 105.5 cm, presented by Arys resident Akylbek Alzhan, became the champion in height. In absolute weight, the best in exterior was Bakbergen Alzhanov's ram named "Kuba". The sheep "Turan" of Shymkent resident Bakhtiyar Balazhan was recognized as the winner in the 195 kg weight category. The owners of the best sheep were presented with letters of gratitude, championship belts and cups.
