Swiss investors will open new fish farms in Kazakhstan

Minister of Ecology S. Brekeshev signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on development of sturgeon farming in Kazakhstan with representatives of Swiss companies, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of the Ministry.

"We signed a memorandum on the development of fisheries with the Swiss companies "Caviar House & Prunier Group SA" and "Swiss Choice Holding SA". The ministry is interested in attracting investment, given that the leadership of our country pays a lot of attention to this," - wrote the head of the department on his personal page on Twitter.

The memorandum provides for increase of production at the existing fish farms, creation of new jobs, attraction of investments, introduction of advanced technologies in development of sturgeon caviar production and creation of a new channel for "Qazaq" caviar sales in the international market.

It should be noted that Switzerland has a leading position in the field of fisheries due to effective management and planning.

"We highly appreciate the opportunity to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with your company. I am convinced that our cooperation will allow introduction of the best technologies in development of sturgeon caviar production and will create new sales channel for Kazakh caviar in domestic and international markets", - the Minister noted.

Let us remind that last year the Government of Kazakhstan adopted a program on development of the fish industry for 2021-2030 years, within the framework of which the Ministry of Ecology is carrying out works on implementation of investment projects, including creation of the fish farm on cultivation of sturgeon fishes and caviar production.
