The Akim of Turkestan region, U. Shukeyev, visited cabbage fields in the Akniet village of Yntymak rural district. Agrarians spoke about problems with water and subsidies, World of NAN reports with reference to the office of the regional Akim.
The owner of the field this year sowed cabbage on 12 hectares of land and plans to harvest 400 tons of products. He will earn more than 100 million tenge from it. They take the cabbage from the field at 280 tenge per 1 kg. In addition, the second crop of cotton will be planted.
"Recently I met with farmers. Our climate allows us to harvest two or three times a year. People sowed cabbage on 12 hectares, they sell it for almost 300 tenge. They harvested 400 tons of produce and began to earn good money. Only strong businessmen can make such a profit, "- said the head of the region.
200 tons of Zhetysay cabbage went for export to Russia. From each hectare farmers earn 10 million tenge. This was said by the Akim of the region at a meeting with residents of the district.
"I specifically came to the remote areas - Zhetysay and Makhtaaral. The problems of their residents are familiar to me. It's gas and water. I ordered an analysis. It turned out that Atakent has a 150-year supply of water. It should be used. Secondly, there are two automatic gas distribution stations. They work with their own resources, but they can't supply all the objects. Therefore, we have pushed for the construction of two more stations: one will be built in Atakent, the second - in Zhetysay, "- said the region's Akim.
According to the regional head, as soon as they are built, the region's population will be fully supplied with gas.
