The main topics of the conference were issues of mutually beneficial economic cooperation in the space from Lisbon to Vladivostok and the development of digitalization and future technology in the EAEU, as well as the development of the agro-industrial sector of the EAEU countries and ways of interaction in this direction with German business.
“We are now in the period when we exist as the Eurasian Economic Union for 5 years, 10 years from the moment the customs union functioned, 25 years from the date of the idea expressed regarding Eurasian integration. First of all, five years is the period when it is already possible to take stock and analyze. Each country benefits from each other and each country from the Eurasian Economic Union, regardless of size and contribution to the economy, it has the opposite effect in the form of an improvement in indicative, social economic development. Mutual trade with us showed very ambitious growth rates. In 2017 - 27.5%, in 2018 another + 10% of these numbers cannot be ignored”, says Veronika Nikishina, member of the Trade Collegium, Eurasian Economic Commission.
The conference was also attended by Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov.
«Foreign direct investment from the countries of the union, first of 2015 to the first quarter of this year, approached $ 5 billion. It should be noted that participation in integration was an additional incentive for foreign investment in Kazakhstan. One of the most powerful factors in the development of our economy was foreign direct investment. These figures once again confirm the interest of the business in creating centers in our territory», he says.
At this conference, a memorandum on a single economic space from Lisbon to Vladivostok was signed.
