Akimat of Mangistau region reported on the expenditures of the charity fund

A special charity account was opened in Mangistau region in August to help owners of cattle affected by the drought. The funds were transferred to the Fund "Kazimpex-Aktau" by employees of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Mangistau region akimat, as well as concerned citizens. The Board of Trustees of the Fund recently disclosed how the money would be spent, World of NAN reports, citing the regional Akim's press service.

To prevent the inefficient use of funds, the regional government instructed the responsible persons to report to the population on the expenditures of the fund. At present, a Board of Trustees consisting of five people has been established under the Fund. The Board consists of: Chairman - Galymzhan Niyazov, Deputy Akim of Mangistau region, members of the Council - Zharmagambet Aituarov, Advisor to Akim of Mangistau region, Serik Kaldygul, Head of the Department of Agriculture of Mangistau region, Rimma Utesbayeva, deputy of the Mangistau regional maslikhat, and Dairabay Usupbayev, head of the Kazimpex-Aktau Foundation.

As noted by the council members, the total amount of donations is 43,089,300 tenge. Delivery of 24 wagons of hay to the region from West Kazakhstan, Atyrau and Almaty regions cost 2,256,810 tenge.

It is planned to use the rest of the fund to buy fodder from other regions during winter and sell it to farmers at prices 20% lower than market prices. This, in turn, will stabilize the prices of fodder and make it more affordable to the population.

Through this mechanism, 290 tons of bran has already been purchased from Kostanay Region, at a cost of 27,144,000 tenge. The cost per kilogram of bran - 83 tenge, with delivery to Mangistau the price will be 94 tenge, including railway costs. Incidentally, at the moment, the average market price per kilogram of bran in Mangistau region is about 110 tenge.

The funds received from the farmers will go towards a new purchase of fodder. The newly brought fodder will be sold at a 20% discount. This sales turnover will continue until the medium in the fund's reserve runs out. Thus, the fodder purchased at a 20% discount will allow residents to receive fodder at low prices during the winter.

To date, the fund account balances 13,688,490 tenge. With each turnover of the purchase of fodder this amount will decrease by 20%.
