The government discussed the issues of forward purchase of agricultural products. Vice-Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov reported on the progress of the regions, World of NAN reports with reference to the government.
According to the rules, the regions should have started forward financing for the purchase of vegetables of the fall harvest back in February. In some regions, this work is still incomplete.
"It is extremely important for the regions to comply with the requirements to allocate 70% of financing exactly to agricultural producers and processing enterprises. We will strengthen control over compliance with the terms of contracting within the framework of the model rules. Appropriate proposals will be made for the regions where the requirements are not met," said Vice-Minister of Agriculture.
According to his data, the recommended volumes of stocks for onions and carrots have been formed in the country. The work on potatoes and cabbage is still in progress. In 5 regions the volumes of contracting potatoes are below the recommended volumes. These are Atyrau region (55%), Abay region (65%), Ulytau region (74%), Almaty region (79%) and Akmola region (92%).
Poor work of akimats and SECs on cabbage contracting was noted by the Vice-Minister of Agriculture. Thus, in 10 regions the volume of contracts is below the recommended volumes of need. Of these, three regions have less than 50% of stocks. These are regions Ulytau (30%), Almaty (45%), Astana (49%). Monitoring of availability showed that in 8 regions there are practically no contracts for flour or do not exceed 50% of the recommended volumes by the Ministry of Agriculture. There are no contracts for sunflower oil and rice in Aktobe region.
"All regions need to correct the situation. Summer is the only time when we should make a groundwork for the coming year to stabilize prices. For the week, the price index on the SIFP amounted to zero percent, although with timely work there should have been deflation. According to the results of the rice fair in Kyzylorda, the akimats of only eight regions signed memoranda for the purchase of rice. They contracted 1.4 thousand tons of rice, while the country needs about 21 thousand tons. All regions to ensure timely fulfillment of the tasks outlined at the meeting," - summarized Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin.
