Farmers will not receive subsidies without digitized fields

During the meeting of the operational headquarters in the Ministry of Agriculture the harvesting campaign and other pressing issues were discussed, reports World of NAN with reference to the agency.

As of today, 3.9 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested across Kazakhstan, which is 22.3% of the planned volume.

According to the latest data at an average yield of 10.2 c/ha threshed 3.9 million tons of grain. The average yield of oilseeds is 7.1 c/ha, about 63.1 thousand hectares have been harvested. Potatoes harvested 613.2 thousand tons with a yield of 202 c/ha. Vegetables yield this year is 227 c/ha, about 1.8 million tons have been harvested.

"Starting from next year in order to receive subsidies it is necessary to fully digitize the fields. According to the data of JSC "Kazakstan Garysh Sapary" only 5 million hectares have been digitized according to farmers' applications. In some regions there are no applications for digitization", - emphasized Abulkhair Tamabek, Vice-Minister of Agriculture.
