More than 1.4 million hectares were sown in the spring field work

The southern regions have been joined by the western and eastern regions of the country. This year, crops are planned to be planted on 23.4 million hectares, reports World of NAN.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, it is planned to increase the areas of cereals and leguminous crops, forage crops, as well as sugar beets. It will also expand the areas of socially important sunflowers, vegetables, potatoes and buckwheat.

"Seed stocking is 100% implemented. Farmers have formed a seed pool of 2.3 million tons. Also regions have formed seed stocks in warehouses. There is 11.4 billion tenge in local budgets to subsidize seed production development in 2023," - the ministry said.

As of today about 284.4 thousand tons of subsidized diesel fuel out of 419 thousand tons allocated were shipped to the regions. Given the costs of operators, the average price of the republic for the farmers is one-third cheaper than the market price and is 204 tenge per liter.

In total, 140 billion tenge is envisaged to finance spring campaign under "Ken-dala" program, with which it is planned to ensure sowing and harvesting of around 2 mln ha. At the moment 133.8 billion tenge has already been paid to farmers. Also, the Food Corporation continued the program of forward purchase and began issuing commodity credits to large agricultural producers, for which at least 70 billion tenge is budgeted.
