The number of milk processing plants will increase in Zhualy district of Zhambyl region. The Akim of the district, Olzhas Karzhauov, announced this during a reporting meeting with the head of the region, World of NAN reports with reference to the region's Akimat.
Agriculture is actively developing in Zhualy district. According to the head of the region, there are no problems with the lack of pastures. Last year a lot of work was done, as a result of which a map of agricultural land was developed. This map made it possible to identify and return unused land to the state.
"This year we plan to increase the number of milk processing plants from 8 (every day - 50 tons of milk) to 12. 50% of the population of the district is engaged in dairy farming," said Olzhas Karzhauov.
During the meeting it was said that farmers are concerned about the issue of irrigation water. According to the head of the region, the water issue will be resolved with scientists from U.M. Akhmedsafin University. Work on restoration of existing water wells and pumps is being carried out.
"In the Zhualy district the volume of industrial production increased by 1.1% in the last year. In agriculture growth was 3.8%, the volume of investment in fixed assets increased by 4.3%, "- reported the head of the district.
