Four districts of the Karaganda region have completed the harvesting of grain

In the Karaganda region, farms of Abai, Zhanaarka, Ulytau and Shet districts have already completed the harvesting of grain. The harvesting area of ​​cereals in the region this year amounted to more than 930 thousand hectares, World of NAN reports with reference to the press service of the regional Akim.

The head of the agriculture department Askar Sanaubarov and akims of the districts reported on the progress of the autumn field work at an online managerial meeting chaired by the head of the region Zhenis Ksymbek.

“The area of ​​potato harvest in agricultural organizations amounted to 11 208 hectares and 1610 hectares of other vegetables. As of September 20, 888 thousand hectares of grain were harvested and threshed, or 95.2%. With an average yield of 9.3 c / ha, 829.5 thousand tons of grain were milled. Of the planned 109 thousand tons of grain seeds, 99.6 thousand tons, or 91.4%, were filled in,” stated Askar Sanaubarov.

1,989 combine harvesters, 62 potato harvesters and 90 potato diggers were involved in the work.

According to Askar Sanaubarov, the quality of the harvested grain is good. There are also enough granaries in the region. Work is underway to form a grain reserve fund. Six grain processing enterprises are ready for acceptance.

Akim of the region Zhenis Kassymbek instructed the akims of the regions and heads of agricultural departments to control the timely harvesting, to form the stocks of the stabilization fund to keep the prices for social bread and potatoes down.

The completion of the harvesting of cereals in the region is planned by September 25, potatoes - September 30, vegetables - October 10.
