Money from the government reserve will be allocated for drought victims

Due to drought and lack of irrigation water, a regional emergency may be declared. The government is working on covering farmers' expenses, accelerated payment of subsidies and extension of loans, World of NAN reports citing the Government.

"As you know, the summer was dry and a number of regions were affected as a result. Less crops will be harvested there. Prompt measures have been taken to level the impact of the drought. Including funds from the reserve of the Government that will be allocated, "- Prime Minister said.

At the same time, the holding "Baiterek" has been instructed to work out the issue of extension and restructuring of debts on loans of agricultural producers, affected by drought.

Climatic changes and water shortage are becoming a serious challenge for agriculture in Kazakhstan. In this regard, the Prime Minister instructed to develop a road map to strengthen the rational use of water resources, and regions - to actively implement water-saving technologies.
