The MP proposed to abandon the practice of restraining the food prices

The deputy of the Majilis of Kazakhstan's Parliament Yerlan Barlybayev called the suppressing of prices for socially important products outdated practice at the collegium of the Ministry of Trade and Integration. He proposed to abandon it, World of NAN reports quoting Kazpravda.

"I believe that we should abandon the outdated practice of containing the prices of socially important food products. We need to provide TSA, targeted social assistance. Just calculate what an army of people will be released, which monitors the prices. And then, if we're in a market economy, we have to be in a market economy to the end, "- he said.

Yerlan Barlybayev pointed out that it is necessary to focus on the main thing - increasing the incomes of the population. Then, he is convinced, food inflation will not strongly affect the incomes of Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan is building a market economy, so let's stick to market methods of regulation. In agriculture, the regulation must be through the payment of subsidies and customs duties. There should be no quotas and a ban on exports of certain products," the parliamentarian said.
