Y. Karashukeyev became the Minister of Agriculture

Karashukeyev Yerbol Shyrakpayevich was appointed Minister of Agriculture by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev of September 1, 2021. To recall, he assumed the duties of the minister in July this year, after the dismissal of S. Omarov.

Upon assuming the duties of the head of department, the main focus Y. Karashukeyev placed on open interaction with the media, invited journalists to meetings of the Republican Headquarters on forage harvesting, answered questions and stated his readiness to actively cooperate. It was from him that farmers first heard about the acute problem of the industry, which was not mentioned from high tribunes - the violation of the basic principles of livestock development. "Increase in livestock population was carried out without increasing the fodder base," said then Karashukeyev, at the same time, proposed ways to solve the problem.

As for education, Yerbol Karashukeyev graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh State National University, Modern Institute of Humanities. He is an economist by profession, a specialist in the field of management with an academic degree of bachelor, master of economics, and bachelor of jurisprudence.

He began his career in 1998 as a chief specialist of the Department of Analysis and Conjuncture Surveys of the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He worked in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in managerial positions in commercial organizations, Managing Director of JSC National Management Holding KazAgro, Chairman of the Board of JSC Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture.

From April 2019 to March 2021 he was the Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgro Holding JSC. Since July 2021 he has been the Acting Minister of Agriculture.
