Experimental flexi-trains with oil departed for China

The first batch of rapeseed oil on experimental flexi-trains left for China from Kazakhstan. The cargo is being transported in pilot mode on special flexi-trucks to the Chinese port of Tianjin, World of NAN reports with reference to Khabar-24.

According to the management of the national multimodal operator "KTZh Express" - this is the first and unique experience for the Kazakhstan logistics. As noted by the company, such multimodal transport reduce transit time by half while also maintaining the quality of products. Thus, it is a worthy alternative to traditional methods of cargo delivery. 

"This technology is considered one of the successful and progressive technologies today in logistics. This shipment is a new logistic solution, which we have developed and offered to all shippers. In the future, this shipment will become a regular container service for Kazakhstani exporters", says Nurlan Igembayev, General Director of JSC "KTZh Express".

The pilot flexi-tanks will have to cover around 8,000 kilometers to the port, and then thousands of kilometers by sea. All liquid cargo, which is rapeseed oil, is transported in special polymeric, flexible containers, not in tanks as it was before.

"In this case, the cargo is rapeseed oil. Each container is packed with about 21.5 tons of rapeseed oil. The containers are taken to the departure station of Kokshetau. Here the composition of 108 laden containers, about two thousand 300 tons of oil was formed and it will go to the port in single fast container train", - comments Ludwig Tarhanyan, General Director of the company "Evro Pac". 

The implementation of such advanced experience will increase the volume of Kazakhstani export, says the management of KTZh Express. This initiative will also give a new impetus to the development of the country's transport and logistics infrastructure as a whole.
