Flour export increased by 34.6% compared to last year

Kazakh flour millers exported 627.3 thousand tons of flour. By contrasting 34.6% more than a year earlier. The share of exports amounted to 57.6% of the resources, reports World of NAN with reference to energyprom.

In monetary terms, in January-April 2022, exports increased by staggering 79.2% over the year. Up to USD 234.3 million.

In physical terms, 170.8 thousand tons of flour were sent to the CIS countries, which is 14.9% more than a year ago. Most of the Kazakh flour was sent to Uzbekistan: 124.3 thousand tons - 14.3% more than a year earlier. The top three also included Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

456.5 thousand tons of flour worth 179.6 million US dollars were sent to countries outside the CIS. Here, the main volume went to Afghanistan: 456.1 thousand tons - 44.4% more than a year earlier.

Along with exports, flour prices and production also increased. In January-May of this year, the country produced 1.4 million tons of flour from grain crops. This is 3.1% more than a year earlier.

According to the results of June, prices for flour increased by 2.8% over the month. And since the beginning of the year, the growth was 26.7%.

The cost of a kilogram of flour of the first grade was 214 tenge, of the highest grade - 332 tenge. Among the major cities of the country, the highest price for premium flour was recorded in Shymkent (390 tenge), the lowest - in Pavlodar (213 tenge). Flour of the first grade was the most expensive in Konayev (270 tenge), the cheapest in Petropavlovsk (145 tenge).
