Exported more wheat, but earned less money

In January-November 2023, Kazakhstan exported 6.7 million tons of wheat and meslin worth $1.7 billion. The growth in physical terms amounted to 20.6%, but in monetary terms only 2.9%, reports World of NAN with reference to Energyprom.kz.

Most of the products were traditionally shipped to CIS countries: 4.8 million tons - 19.2% more than a year earlier. At the same time, exports to non-CIS countries grew by 24%. China was the leader: 519.5 thousand tons, compared to only 23.3 thousand tons a year earlier. Italy - 496.7 thousand tons and Afghanistan - 418.6 thousand tons were also among the three key destinations.

In annual dynamics, prices for CIS countries fell by 16.8%, but for the rest of the world, which are not members of the Commonwealth - on the contrary, they increased by 3.2%.
