Most elevators have huge grain stocks from last year. Elevators cannot dry the wheat in time and shipment has been stopped. In such situations, elevators may close down, World of NAN reports with reference to NCE.
Moreover, problems with grain shipment have developed not only domestically, but also with exports.
"There is no loading in September. It is the second year of nonsense. The elevators have always worked. We had harvesting, receiving, drying, storage and shipment. Now, not only are there balances left on the elevators, but there is no movement. The elevators will simply fill up, and it will be hard for the last in line," said an entrepreneur from the Kostanai region.
Businessmen blame the KTZh for the situation; the organization does not coordinate shipment plans. Last year they transported a million tons of grain in September, but this year only 400 thousand tons.
"There are two firms that now want to ship. But they say they are not being given schedules. I do not understand what is the problem, why they do not give it? I want to ship ungraded wheat. At least 10,000 tons.
The grain is wet and farmers are losing income. The second crisis will come when some of the grain will come to our elevators and some will remain in the fields. The elevators will not even accept it," the farmer resents.
Logistical problems complicate an already difficult year. The Ministry of Transportation needs to do something about KTZh.
