If farmers are not helped, there will be no one to sow next year

According to Kazhydromet, unstable weather remains in most parts of the country, with rain with thunderstorms and strong winds. Consequently, harvesting will be delayed, World of NAN reports.

On September 12, heavy rains are expected in the northwest, north, center and east of the country, with rain and wet snow forecast in the mountainous areas of the southeast during the night hours.

This year farmers had to face a lot of problems: locust and saiga infestation, drought during the growing season, and precipitation during the mass harvesting period.

The presence of at least one of these factors is enough to cause tangible damage to grain production.

Of course, this year we will be able to supply the domestic market, but how will things be next year? If farmers are unable to cover their financial obligations this year, there will simply be no one to sow next year.

The state has already said it will help farmers. But it is important that these measures are adequate and realistically assess the damage that farmers have suffered. Using the example of locusts, we know how our officials like to downplay the scale of the problem. Therefore, it is necessary to approach the issue as objectively as possible.
