Farmers in Pavlodar region are threatened with court proceedings

In Pavlodar region, 370 thousand hectares of unused agricultural land were identified in 2022, of which only 15 thousand were returned to state ownership, World of NAN reports with reference to pavlodarnews.kz.

According to Murat Khamitov, head of the regional department of land relations, the area of seizure is small because of the complexity of the procedure. After notification, they wait a year, and only then do they start litigation.

In total, the state body has issued orders for 106 thousand hectares, the issue of filing lawsuits in court for the withdrawal of these lands is under consideration. Lawsuits have already been sent to court for 19 thousand hectares. In addition, since 2022, the owners of 35 thousand hectares cannot be found - someone has left, someone has re-registered the land plot. Therefore, it is not possible to transfer documents so that measures can be taken for compulsory land seizure.

"As of September 1, 2023, according to "Garysh Sapary", 420 thousand hectares of pasture lands in the region are not used or used inappropriately.

Of this number, 232 thousand hectares are owned by land users who do not have livestock," Murat Khamitov added.
