Farmers produced goods worth 1.6 trillion tenge

Gross agricultural output in the first half of 2024 reached 1.6 trillion tenge. The increase in production in livestock farming is 3.5%, in crop production - 3%, World of NAN reports with reference to the government.

Meat production in live weight increased by 4.1%, reaching 878.7 thousand tons. Milk production increased by 4.8%, amounting to 1.7 million tons, and the production of chicken eggs increased by 0.3% to 2.1 billion pieces.

Also in the first half of the year, there was an increase in the production of cheese and cottage cheese - by 16.8%, processed rice - by 11%, vegetable oil - by 9.3%, fermented milk products - by 5.6%.

In crop production, the gross output amounted to 72 billion tenge, which is 3% more than last year. The main contribution to the growth was made by the production of early vegetable and grain crops. In terms of regions, the highest growth rates are observed in Turkestan, Kostanay, Almaty, Pavlodar, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and Atyrau regions.
