Farmers suffer losses because of the subsidy system gosagro.kz

For a month now, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken has been receiving complaints from farmers regarding the operation of the gosagro.kz website, World of NAN reports with reference to the chamber.

Farmers who are supposed to receive a subsidy on their credit cannot apply on the newly launched website. According to them, there is no feedback from the creators of the site.

"Today we make loans at 22 percent. 16 percent of them should be subsidized by the government. Now we have a big problem. We can't work on www.gosagro.kz yet. Because the program is still raw. Now, the first problem is that in January and February we cannot forward applications from citizens who received loans to be subsidised," said entrepreneur Daulet Pernebekuly.

Farmers asked the developers of the site: in a specially created Telegram chat their question remains unanswered, both by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the specialists who developed the site.

"They themselves do not know when the site will be fully launched. For this reason, if no subsidy is received again in the next few months, the farmers will have to pay off the loans again on their own. It's a hefty burden on them. A group has been set up on Telegram. There, our "developers" read our appeals, but do not respond. This is what we consider "irresponsibility." The platform was commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, but as a competent authority, they have no response either. We are tired," says the farmer.

Almat Abdullayev, Chairman of the Credit Association Syrdarya-1 LLP, complemented the speech of his Zhambyl colleague: "It was announced through the media that the website gosagro.kz was launched, but this is false information. It is unclear why the Ministry of Agriculture reports so. But now the platform is not working, we have not yet submitted any applications. The function of subsidizing the interest rate does not work. There are a lot of questions in telegram chats, too. Chat admins, IT specialists do not respond. Often there are answers: "we are working, please wait", sometimes questions remain completely unanswered".

 In addition, Almat Abdullayev noted that entrepreneurs, farms, who come on this issue, have to pay the accumulated funds for crops, farm development, in order to close the loan. That is, without receiving a subsidy, which the state gives, he invests money in the development of his farm and suffers losses.

"Entrepreneurs are not happy. Since February, not being able to repay debts, there are delinquencies and ruined credit history. They express their distrust of the program. After such irresponsible actions, they lose confidence in the national programs," said the entrepreneur.

Farmers suggested using several options for applications. That is, not only the platform gosagro.kz, but as before through the website qoldau or apply in person, they believe that the choice should be made available.
