Farmers demand the resignation of the region's veterinary administration

Aktobe farmers, whose cattle suffered, according to them, from foot-and-mouth disease, demand the resignation of the entire veterinary leadership of the region. The anger of cattle farmers has been unleashed after another case of cattle disease, reports World of NAN with reference to time.

The owner of the farm "Sayat" stated about the whole corral of cows that started foaming. The farmer is engaged in cattle breeding in Terensai village of Aitekebi district. As it turned out, the cattle were vaccinated against all kinds of diseases in time.

" I divided the cattle into healthy and sick ones, put them in different pens, but it doesn't help much. Foot-and-mouth disease continues to infect healthy cattle. Three calves have already fallen, they are the most severely affected by the disease. I haven't calculated the damage yet, but it is clear, that it is not small", the farmer says sadly.

The fact that in Aitekebi district the cases of infection with foot-and-mouth disease are not sporadic, confirms the chairman of the association "Farmer Center of Aktobe region". Marlen Baimagambetov. Now, according to him, not only Terensay, but also other villages are worried about their cattle.

"The cattle were vaccinated, but for some reason they got sick. All this is the result of improper vaccination, so we demand the resignation of the management of the Veterinary Department and the territorial inspection of the Veterinary Control Committee! - said Marlen Baimagambetov. - What are they working on? The Auyl Amanaty Project? Does it concern them?!

So far, neither Kussayin Sarsembayev, nor Kenes Kanadbayev, whose removal is demanded by farmers, did not comment in any way on the situation with the contagion.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture of the country has not verified the infection of livestock with foot-and-mouth disease. According to the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, veterinarians took samples of blood and mouth fluids. On the same day they were promptly airlifted to the National Reference Center. According to the results of laboratory tests, foot-and-mouth disease was not confirmed and the animals were diagnosed with infectious rhinotracheitis.
