Unless the state finds a way to financially support agrarians, their numbers will continue to diminish. The country had planned to open a logistics center for grain exports, but experts estimate it will not make a significant difference.
"To put it mildly, it is a small volume, if we talk about the volume we need to export monthly, it is about 5 million tons, and here 2-3 or 5-10 thousand tons do not make a significant contribution in the context of our potential," - said the deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denis Marchuk.
In the Transcarpathian region in western Ukraine, they have started building a railway logistics center for exporting Ukrainian grain to Italy. The terminal will have access to narrow-gauge railroads of Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
Recall, the grain deal has been terminated since July 18, when Russia notified Turkey, Ukraine and the UN of its objection to its extension.
