The state will forcibly seize 477,000 hectares of agricultural land

Since the beginning of 2024, 645.3 thousand hectares of unused land have been returned to state ownership, World of NAN reported citing the government.

Since the beginning of this year, the Committee for Land Resources Management has carried out 350 unscheduled inspections of land users on a total area of 321.5 thousand hectares. Based on the results of the inspections, 210 prescriptions were issued to eliminate violations of land laws in the area of 192,900 hectares.

"According to the previously issued orders this year started the development of agricultural land on the area of 102.5 thousand hectares, are conducting court proceedings on forced seizure of 477 thousand hectares," - informed Vice-Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov.

The meeting was also informed about the progress of digitalisation of the procedure for granting the right to agricultural land. It will be tested in one of the districts of Zhetisu region. Within the framework of the pilot project they plan to work out a competition for granting agricultural land in electronic form. New criteria for awarding points and determining the winner through the integration of state databases have been established. They include the number of farm animals, availability of agricultural machinery, employees, registration at the place of residence, and being in the register of social entrepreneurship.
