Innovative fruit and berry plant to be built in Kazakhstan

A domestic company FRUIT ART LLP plans to build a fruit and berry plant in Almaty region. The company aims to process up to 12 thousand tons of raw materials per year, World of NAN reports referring to Kazakh invest.

Export-oriented food company specializing in the full cycle of production of processed freeze-dried products. The manufacturing process includes growing, storage and deep processing of fruit and berry products.

The project focuses on the EU, US, Japanese and South Korean markets for the supply of chocolate frozen and freeze-dried fruits and berries for corporate clients and retail chains. Frozen chocolate products are also exported to nearby countries, including China and the CIS.

The facility includes a 15,000-ton controlled-gas storage facility. The company will process up to 12 thousand tons of raw fruit per year. On average, it amounts to 1200 tons of finished freeze-dried products a year depending on the type and variety of raw materials.

The investor is ready to create up to 250 jobs in the region. Regarding sales, the company held negotiations with retail networks of Germany, the Islamic Food Security Organization and the Islamic Food Processing Association to ensure off-take contracts with the global network of Karfur (UAE) and Qatar Airlines (Qatar).

For other target markets, the company began working with the state agency JSC "Center for Trade Policy Development" QazTrade ", which provides promotion of Kazakh producers in foreign markets.

As noted in "Kazakh invest", specialists consulted the domestic company, assisted in completing the application and drawing up a business plan. These measures contributed to the signing of an investment contract with the Committee on Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Now domestic producers will be able to take advantage of state support in the form of investment preferences, which greatly facilitates the development and establishment of business at the initial stages.
