Investments in Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex decreased by 30%

For the first 4 months of 2024 in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan invested more than 140 billion tenge. This is 30% less than in the same period last year, reports World of NAN with reference to data from the Bureau of National Statistics.

Over 70% of all investments in the sector fall on five key regions. These are Akmola region (about KZT27bn), Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Turkestan and Kostanai regions. The least capital investments are recorded in such regions as Almaty, Shymkent and Mangistau region (traditionally non-agricultural regions).

To date, a total pool of 91 projects for concessional financing has been formed in Kazakhstan. It is planned to spend 445 billion tenge on their implementation.
