Iran is ready to provide Kazakhstan with modern technologies of irrigation of sown areas. This was stated by Iranian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ali Akbar Jukar during a meeting with the Minister of Water Resources, World of NAN reports with reference to the press service of the agency.
In particular, Iranian companies are ready to provide Kazakhstan with modern irrigation systems that use underground water, as well as automatic drip irrigation systems that deliver moisture directly to the roots of plants. According to the Iranian side, thanks to these technologies, Iran has been able to significantly reduce water consumption for rice cultivation, while increasing yields.
"As of today, we have started large-scale work on the construction and reconstruction of reservoirs and other water management facilities. Iranian companies have rich experience in this direction and are developing effective technologies. Some are already working in Kazakhstan. For example, irrigation networks are being reconstructed in Zhambyl and Turkestan regions. Therefore, I would like to invite businessmen from Iran to our country to participate in tenders for construction and repair of water infrastructure," concluded Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
