Due to floods in Aktobe region, 7,000 cattle were driven away

In the region, 757 houses were flooded, about 5,500 people were evacuated from flooded areas, and 7,072 heads of farm animals were driven away to safety, World of NAN reports with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Recall that floods in the country affected settlements in Aktobe, Kostanai, West Kazakhstan, Akmola, Atyrau, Karaganda, North Kazakhstan, Turkestan, Almaty, Pavlodar, Abai and Ulytau regions.

According to the latest data rescuers evacuated 12,701 people nationwide, including 4,728 children. Among them, 961 people, including 261 children, were evacuated by aircraft.

Information about the deaths of farm animals is being relayed on social networks. But so far there is no exact data on the number of fallen livestock, the information is being collected. However, farmers should remember that first of all they should take care of their safety. For example, in Abay region, rescuers had to use a helicopter to evacuate shepherds who went out to move cattle.

How the state will compensate for the losses of villagers will be known later. A centralized decision is made by the operational headquarters under the government.
