K.Tokayev: the state will provide comprehensive support to farmers

The head of state took part in the awards ceremony for the "Altyn Sapa" and "Paryz" prizes. In his speech the President noted that the agribusiness should become another driver of economic development, World of NAN reports with the reference to Akorda.

Tokayev thanked the farmers for the successful completion of the harvest campaign, noting that agribusiness is a strategically important area for ensuring the country's food security and reducing food inflation.

"The state will continue to provide comprehensive support to farmers. This year we increased financing of preferential leasing of agricultural machinery by 40 billion tenge. As a result, agrarians were able to buy more than one thousand additional pieces of farm machinery. In addition, the volume of preferential lending for sowing and harvesting has doubled. The supply of subsidized fuel and lubricants for farmers increased to 820,000 tons. Since 2023 a program of forward crediting of farmers for vegetable production will be launched. For this purpose about 100 billion tenge will be allocated," the President said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also noted that consistent improvement of the well-being and quality of life of villagers is one of the main priorities of his election platform. In this regard, in the first quarter of next year the Concept of Rural Development will be adopted.
