The Ministry of Agriculture has approved the rules of compensation for damage caused to individuals and legal entities as a result of a natural emergency in agriculture, World of NAN reported.
Thus, the damage will be compensated at the expense of budgetary funds of akimats, provided for the elimination of the consequences of the incident. Also, funds from voluntary contributions of citizens, funds or organisations will be used.
If farmers are affected, they can apply to a special commission, which is created by the akimat during an emergency. The application is accepted for 60 days from the day of the emergency, from the next year 30 days.
Damage will be determined by special commissions for crop production and separately for livestock. In crop production, the damage will be calculated based on the amount of expenses per hectare, the area of affected crops and the amount of subsidies received.
Compensation is provided for fallen farm animals in livestock production. Farmers will also have to prove the presence of livestock, i.e. they must have identification signs or registration of livestock. The amount of damage is based on the value on the market.
The payment is made within 30 calendar days after the relevant decision on the allocation of funds is made by a special commission.
