A Kazakh-Dutch round table on "Greenhouse Development Opportunities" was held at GreenTech Week Exhibition in Amsterdam, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of KAZAKH INVEST.
The round table was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Askar Zhumagaliyev, Kazakh Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Abilkhair Tamabek, General Director of Dutch Greenhouse Delta, Eric Egberts, and representatives of the business communities of both countries.
According to the roundtable participants, Kazakhstan welcomes the transfer of technologies from Dutch companies. It can give a new impetus to the development of the greenhouse sector of Kazakhstan. The Netherlands has traditionally taken a leading position as an investment partner in the economy of Kazakhstan. The total inflow of FDI from the Kingdom over the last decade amounted to 77.5 billion US dollars.
The Kazakh delegation included about 15 local businessmen interested in establishing business ties with Dutch gardeners. During their stay at GreenTech week, the delegates will become acquainted with cutting-edge technologies and hi-tech solutions in the greenhouse business, which contribute to the safe food production. They will visit a number of leading Dutch greenhouse companies.
