Within the framework of the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin to Afghanistan in Kabul a Kazakh-Afghan business forum was held. On the Kazakhstani side, 18 representatives of food industry exporting enterprises, including producers of flour, pasta, confectionary, drinks and dairy products, participated in the forum, World of NAN reports.
At the platform of the business forum entrepreneurs agreed to supply flour to Afghanistan for $4 million. In addition, at the platform of the business forum announced the opening of a trading house of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan. It is planned that the main office will be located in the city of Herat.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, the key objectives of the trading house are assistance and activation of trade-economic relations between the two countries, increase of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, development of regional trade-economic, telecommunication, transport and logistic relations. It is also planned to use the transit and border potential of Afghanistan for trade with the countries of the region, attracting investment in the economy of Kazakhstan.
In fact, the Kazakhstan Trade House is designed to become a platform between Kazakh and Afghan business communities, ensuring the organization of B2B events in Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. For this purpose, a consulting center on exported domestic goods and services, trade legislation, market research and analysis of development prospects and problems, development of recommendations for the Kazakh and Afghan business communities and other issues of interaction will be created on its basis.
