Kazakhstan will increase the supply of grain to China

As part of an official visit to China, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, together with the leadership of the Food Corporation held meetings with the heads of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and its districts, representatives of the business community of Xinjiang and Beijing, as well as leading companies in China, reports World of NAN, with reference to the Food Corporation.

The Kazakh side presented the possibilities of grain export which is planned to reach 1 million tons per year.

In particular, the delegation met with the leadership of CITIC Group Corporation. To increase the supply of domestic wheat in China representatives of CITIC Group offered to export grain through domestic enterprises, including JSC "NC" Food Contract Corporation ".

Similar proposals were received from the Kazakh delegation to the corporation COFCO, which is the leader of the agricultural industry in China and one of the world's leading agricultural companies. In China COFCO is considered the largest importer and exporter of soybeans, wheat, corn, sugar and other agricultural products.

As a result of negotiations, the parties agreed to sign memorandums of long-term cooperation on the supply of grain by Kazakh companies in the PRC.
