Kazakh companies in the agro-industrial complex will participate in the Shanghai exhibition

On November 5, the fourth China International Import Exhibition will start in Shanghai. Kazakhstan's commercial pavilion will showcase the products and export potential of 26 Kazakh companies involved in the agro-industrial sector, World of NAN reports referring to the Ministry of Trade of Kazakhstan.

The organizer of Kazakhstan's participation in the import exhibition is QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center JSC. Participation of Kazakhstani business is provided within the framework of service support to exporters. 

Kazakh companies at the exhibition will present production and processing of beef, mutton and horsemeat; production of by-products of cattle and cattle cattle; WET-BLUE semi-finished products; industrial fat, meat and bone meal, and other meat products. In addition, there will be a presentation of the production of vegetable oils, natural and reconstituted juices, canned fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and dried camel milk. Businessmen will share their experience in production of semi-finished food, pasta, cereals, honey, flour, mixed fodder and many other products.

This year the exhibition will be held in the hybrid format, which implies physical placement of product samples and remote participation of enterprises. All companies will have an opportunity to conduct B2B negotiations with potential Chinese partners offline and online. It is expected to conclude agreements, worth about 100 mln USD, on delivery of soybean, corn, barley, linseed, rapeseed, sunflower oil, meal, wheat bran pellets, beef meat, dried mare milk, etc.

The China International Import Expo in Shanghai has been held annually since 2018 at the initiative of Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping. The exhibition is attended by about 3,700 companies from 150 countries, as well as more than 300 thousand Chinese professional visitors-purchasers. Kazakhstan, since the very first exhibition, annually takes part in the international event. In 2020, due to sanitary restrictions, 35 Kazakhstani manufacturers participated in the exhibition remotely. The total amount of contracts signed then was more than $135 million.

At the moment, the installation of the commercial pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the National Exhibition and Convention Center, which has an area of 1.5 million square meters, is being completed.
