Kazakh teachers recycle agricultural waste into energy

An unusual source of alternative energy was found by teachers at the Shynkozha Batyr Secondary School in the Ayagozsky District of the Abay Region. Aigerim Nukibayeva, Laura Kozhayeva, Elmira Turapova, Almas Dauletov and Karlygash Rakhmetolla moved to the district under the program "With Diploma to the Village". It was life in the countryside that spurred them on to new ideas, World of NAN reports, citing the Ministry of Education.

Having created a team, young professionals began to work on the prevention of environmental problems. They have already proposed several ways to solve environmental, agrochemical and energy problems. One of them is wasteless technology - conversion of agricultural waste into alternative energy or generating income through biogas.

"The problem of disposal is one of the central problems. Exposure to open waste, garbage, is contaminating the environment. Residual garbage viruses spreading in the air penetrate the soil with the release of foul-smelling gases, methane, hydrogen sulfide, indole. Along with air pollution spreads a large number of diseases. The production of biogas, which we invented, is very important from the point of view of energy saving and neutralization of household waste," say the young teachers.

By the way, produced biogas and biofertilizer can be used to increase the yield of crops, used as feed additives for pets and birds. Now half of the village is provided with biogas. The plan is to sell the produced biogas. In general, there are a lot of potential applications for biogas.
