Italian agricultural holding is ready to invest in Kazakh grain

The President of Kazakhstan received the Chief Executive Officer of the famous Italian agricultural holding Bonifiche Ferraresi Federico Vecchioni and discussed with him the prospects of cooperation, reports World of NAN with reference to Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan is among the leaders in wheat growing and is one of the main suppliers of wheat to Italy and at the same time plans to increase the share of grain processing within the country.

In turn, Federico Vecchioni said the company plans to implement projects on growing grain crops using Italian technologies and further deep processing in Kazakhstan, as well as training of specialists and technology transfer.

The head of state expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support from the Government.

In addition, the Italian company was invited to consider the possibility of joint projects for the development of intensive horticulture and seed production.
