Semurg Invest and AD Ports Group signed an agreement on cooperation in the construction of a grain terminal and multifunctional marine terminal "Sarzha" in the port of Kuryk, reports World of NAN with reference to the Ministry of Industry.
SEMURG INVEST LLP is the owner and developer of the multifunctional marine terminal "Sarzha" in the port of Kuryk.
"Today on the territory of the future terminal there is an operating warehouse facility, the construction of two berths, access railroads, the first phase of the grain terminal and general cargo terminal has been completed. The first cargoes are expected to be transshipped soon. Full implementation of the project will increase the capacity of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route by 10 million tons per year," said Nurzhan Marabayev, CEO of Semurg Invest.
After signing the agreement, Abdulaziz Zayed Al Shamsi, Regional Director of AD Ports Group, noted that the Emirati side is interested in cooperating with Kuryk Port to implement a major transportation and logistics initiative for the development of export routes in Central Asia.
AD Ports Group owns and operates 10 ports and terminals in the UAE. Each facility is strategically located and utilizes sea, air, road and rail connections to provide access to global markets.
