China imported beef from Kazakhstan for the first time in two years

After the restrictions on foot and mouth disease were lifted in February 2024, Meat Processing and Service LLP exported 20 tons of beef to China, World of NAN reports with the reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The company has been operating in the Almaty region since 2009 and specializes in processing and canning cattle and small cattle meat, fattening and slaughter. The number of livestock in the company exceeds 1.2 thousand heads, there is a feeding base with a one-time housing of 3 thousand heads.

The productivity of the meat processing enterprise is 200 heads of cattle per 10 hours and 1000 heads of small cattle. Meat trade has been established with Iran, Oman, and Bahrain.

Over the past three months, domestic enterprises have been actively working to harmonize veterinary requirements, expand the range of export goods, allow enterprises from all over the country to export, and be included in the Register of Importers of China.

The Ministry of Agriculture continues to expand the list of Kazakh enterprises exporting to China.
