Chinese Investors Discuss Construction of Dairy Farms and Meat Processing in Kazakhstan

The realization of Kazakh-Chinese investment projects in the sphere of agro-industrial complex was discussed by Agriculture Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev and deputy commander of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Li Yunhong, World of NAN reports.

According to the Agriculture Ministry's press service, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps now owns 10,000 greenhouses, grain and meat warehouses, and sugar factories in XUAR. Xinjiang, in turn, is a key region in the PRC, accounting for more than 40% of all trade between Kazakhstan and China.

"Yerbol Karashukeyev reminded his Chinese counterpart of his recent visit to the PRC, where in the framework of negotiations considered the supply of Kazakh meat and sunflower oil to China and imports of fresh fruits and vegetables from China. The parties discussed potential joint projects for the construction of dairy farms and meat processing complex in Kazakhstan," - noted in the Ministry of Agriculture.

In this case, Y. Karashukeyev emphasized that the agency headed by him is ready to provide full support for the upcoming work. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture also spoke about the wide opportunities of Kazakhstan for investment in the agricultural sector and various industry benefits.

It should be noted that with the participation of Chinese investors in the territory of Kazakhstan have already successfully implemented such significant projects as a plant for the production of rapeseed oil, processing and production of camel and mare milk powder.  Currently in the pool of the Ministry of Agriculture are 6 more investment projects worth 225 million dollars.
