The Chinese will audit Kazakhstan's veterinary system

Kazakhstan's veterinary service has held talks with the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China on the visit of their experts in early November to conduct an audit of Kazakhstan's veterinary system and inspection of enterprises interested in exporting livestock products, World of NAN reports with reference to the Veterinary Committee.

Head of the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision B. Abyzbayev noted the readiness of the Kazakh side to organize the above visit.

The Chinese side wished to see the whole chain during the inspection of enterprises - from the maintenance of farm animals to the point of shipment of products for export.

"We hope that in the near future we will be able to remove restrictions on foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza imposed by the General Customs Administration of China in relation to Kazakhstan, which will enable Kazakh producers to expand markets for their products," - said B. Abyzbayev.

The lifting of restrictions on foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza is one of the priority areas of work of the Kazakh veterinary service. This will increase exports of livestock products to China, which is one of the largest markets for Kazakh producers.
