The Chinese sold out Kazakh goods on their platform in record time

Joint efforts of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China to promote domestic products through China's largest marketplace JD.com have yielded positive results. The first batch of goods presented on the platform of the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan was sold out in record time, reports World of NAN.

Let us remind you that the official opening ceremony of the pavilion in Xi'an on May 18, 2023 was held with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev.

According to the Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev, the decision to increase exports through the international trading platform JD.com was made at the end of 2022. During the negotiations, the Chinese company Xingxing was designated as an investor of Kazakhstan's National Pavilion on the trade platform and accepted the role of a liaison between domestic commodity producers and consumers in China.

"In April, Xingxing representatives met with Kazakh producers and identified a list of companies and products ready to be placed on the marketplace. Such commodity items as tea, drinks, chocolate, chocolate paste, jelly beans, caramel lollipops, halva, vegetable and safflower oil, flour and milk powder were selected as a pilot batch for Chinese buyers. A trial shipment of food was made in May," said Trade and Integration Vice-Minister Kairat Torebayev.

In the first hour of the National Pavilion's launch, the e-commerce site JD.com received more than 10,000 orders from Chinese buyers, according to the Commerce Ministry's press service. At the same time 80% of the available goods were sold in record time. All 25 items on the Marketplace are now sold out. The page of the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan has been subscribed by over 106 thousand users.

Pre-orders for flour, tea, dried camel and mare's milk produced in Kazakhstan continue to come in from potential buyers.

"We recommend exporters to use new opportunities, which the cooperation with JD.com platform opens up, and contact QazTrade for advice on the placement of goods from Kazakhstan," Kairat Torebayev appealed to business representatives.
