UAE company plans to produce chips and snacks in Kazakhstan

Emirati companies "National Food Industries" and "Venus Packaging" arrived in Kazakhstan with a business visit. At the meeting, the Emirati side expressed its readiness to implement a project to build a plant for the production of chips and snacks, World of NAN reports.

During the visit, Mr. Piyush Mahesh, Director-Shareholder of NFI, and Mr. Patel Pratikbay, Director of Venus Packaging, met with Mr. Zhandos Temirgali, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST.

National Food Industries (NFI) was founded in 1977 and is one of the leading snack manufacturers in the Middle East. Its product line includes potato chips, potato pellets, cheese corn balls, corn chips, tortilla chips and fruit drinks in cups.

"As Piyush Mahesh noted, the company is not just interested in distribution, but in opening production in Kazakhstan to export products to neighboring countries. He stressed that the opening of production in Kazakhstan will have a multiplier effect, contributing to the development of related industries, including the production of packaging products," - notes the press service of Kazakhinvest.

In turn, Zhandos Temirgali said that Kazakhstan pays great attention to cooperation with the UAE. Thanks to a significant amount of farmland, Kazakhstan can fully provide production with all the necessary raw materials. He stressed that investors choose Kazakhstan as a country to invest in due to political stability, stable jurisdiction, as well as a favorable position - Kazakhstan is an excellent platform both to start production and as an export hub to markets in China, Central Asia and Europe.

The company visited Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent, as well as Almaty and Turkestan regions to familiarize itself with investment opportunities. As part of the visit, the delegation met with representatives of government agencies and private companies-manufacturers of packaging materials, food products and large distributors.
