Complex for deep processing of wheat is planned to be built in Kostanay region. Presumably, the volume of investments in this project may reach $290.2 million, reports World of NAN, referring to LS.

The new facility may appear in the industrial zone of Kostanay. According to the information provided by the regional Akimat, the capacity of the enterprise will be 21 thousand tons of wheat gluten, 51.1 thousand tons of native starch, 26 thousand tons of cationic starch. In addition, 31,700 tons of citric acid, 11,000 tons of sugars, 69,900 tons of feed additives will be produced.

The project is included in the pool of 70 investment proposals for $2.8 billion, for which the investor search is underway. The information on the projects includes a teaser, business plan and financial model, worked out according to international standards.

LS adds that in this industrial zone the Chinese investor planned to launch in 2022 a complex for deep processing of grains and oilseeds for $250 million. The facility will employ 375 people. The facility is expected to process crops to produce flour, vegetable oil, gluten, starch and mixed fodder. Its capacity will be 1.5 million tons of finished products per year. In 2019, it was reported that there is already an off-take contract with a Chinese company for the purchase of products.
