The Czech Republic and Kazakhstan intend to develop cooperative business ties

Prague hosted the 11th meeting of the Kazakh-Czech Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. In order to increase trade turnover between the two countries, the IGC agreed to continue work on expanding the range of goods, World of NAN reports referring to the Ministry of Trade.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of stepping up cooperation in several areas.

"The Czech Republic is one of Kazakhstan's reliable partners and we have similar positions on key issues of the international agenda, which promotes mutual understanding and our successful cooperation," the Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the RK Kairat Torebayev noted in his speech.

Thus, Kazakhstani companies are ready to offer deliveries of 135 processed goods totaling $593.4 million to Czech buyers. At that, Kazakhstani company KazakhExport may assist in long-term trade financing and insurance of trade deliveries.

"We are ready to consider a similar list from the Czech side, to find potential partners from our side," emphasized Vice-Minister Torebayev.

Among the effective tools to expand economic cooperation, Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic consider the possibility of creating joint cooperation projects aimed at the production of export goods.

General Director of JSC Trade Policy Development Center "QazTrade" Azamat Askaruly also said that Kazakhstan has a wide range of instruments to support export-oriented industries, including those with the participation of foreign capital, which are aimed at manufacturing products with a high degree of processing.

Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev also called on Czech companies "to actively participate in the activities of the International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation "Khorgos", which opens up the possibility of access not only to the market of China, but also to expand the geography of exports to the markets of the Asian region.

To create conditions for the development of cooperative ties between the business circles of Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic "creation of a permanent business dialogue in the format of the "Business Council" was proposed.

In addition, the parties decided to conduct mutual trade missions.

The issues of building an effective transport and logistics chain to enter the capacious markets of large trading neighbors were also discussed at the IGC meeting. "I propose to study all existing land and sea infrastructure and take measures to develop a system of multimodal container transportation, ensuring rapid delivery of goods with minimal transport costs", - suggested the co-chairman from the Kazakh side.

The minutes of the 11th meeting of the Kazakh-Czech Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation also included proposals to expand cooperation in many areas, including agriculture.
