GREEN TERRA LLP in Baishuak village, Kostanai region, plans to create a real agrarian cluster, World of NAN reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The enterprise was founded in 2003 and grows sunflower, wheat, potatoes, and has its own fattening ground. There is also a vegetable storehouse with a capacity of up to 6 thousand tons, equipped with an automated climate control system.
The equipment for potato calibration and cleaning has been installed. In the future, LLP intends to expand the area of irrigated land for crops, as well as to build dairy farms and a meat processing plant.
"We plan to build irrigation systems on the area of 2,257 hectares, vegetable storage facilities for 12,000 tons and a dairy farm for 1,200 heads. We have been implementing the project since 2020 and have already invested almost 2 billion tenge. Until 2026, investments of about 10 billion tenge are planned. In 2020 we launched irrigation systems on 225 hectares, in 2022 we built a vegetable storage on 631 hectares of land. In two stages, until 2026, we will build a dairy farm for 1200 heads. We ask the state to support our project in terms of increasing the rate of compensation of investments from 25 to 40%. And help with the construction of a road to the vegetable storage and supply of electricity for the irrigation project," said Yerdos Tapayev, Director of GREEN TERRA LLP.
To stimulate the construction of vegetable storages, the Ministry of Agriculture is already working on amending the Rules of investment subsidies in terms of increasing the rate of cost recovery from 25% to 40-50% (depending on the storage technology used). Issues of connecting necessary communications will be solved by the Akimat.
