Non-existent cattle bought for a billion tenge

Facts of fraud in obtaining credit funds for the purchase of cattle were revealed in Aktobe region, World of NAN reports with reference to the Agency for Financial Monitoring.

Within the framework of the state program "Sybaga" three citizens received credit funds in the Aktobe branch of JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" for the purchase of cattle.

The fraudsters cashed in the credit funds on behalf of peasant farms, registered on behalf of fictitious persons, using fraudulent documents. The damage to the state amounted to 970 million tenge.

At present, the suspects have been detained. The court has applied a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The movable and immovable property of the suspects in the amount of about 260 million tenge has been arrested.

In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other information in the interests of the investigation is not subject to disclosure.
