Laboratories inflated prices for seed quality analysis

"Kazakhstan Agrarian Expertise" and "Agroexpert-AS" LLP by cartel collusion overpriced in the market of services to determine the varietal and sowing qualities of seeds and planting material, World of NAN reports with reference to the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition.

Administrative proceedings were instituted against the firms. By the decision of the Specialized Interdistrict Court on Administrative Violations of Astana dated March 20, 2023 JSC " Kazakhstan Agrarian Expertise" was brought to administrative responsibility with imposing administrative penalty to the sum of approximately 24,6 million tenge.

By the decision of the Specialized Interdistrict court on administrative violations of Taraz city of Zhambyl region from March 25 "Agroexpert-AS" LLP was brought to administrative responsibility with the imposition of administrative penalties in the sum of about 9,2 mln tenge.

The Judicial Board for Administrative Affairs of Astana city left the decision of the court of first instance unchanged, the appeal was not satisfied.
