Subsidy fraud: 96 people have been brought to criminal responsibility

The Anti-Corruption Service has uncovered systemic corruption risks in agriculture, and the Ministry of Agriculture has been given 170 recommendations for their elimination, World of NAN reports with reference to Anticor.

Chairman of the anti-corruption service Askhat Zhumagali urged his colleagues to pay special attention to the regions where food bases, elevators for storing grain and other agricultural products are located. More thorough inspections should be carried out there.

In 2021-2022, criminal cases were investigated in the field of subsidies, in which 96 persons were brought to criminal responsibility. Of these, 18 are managers of various levels.

The problem of corruption in agriculture remains relevant, so the industry is included in the Map of corruption risks in many regions of the country.

"It is necessary to monitor the processes of absorption of budgetary funds. Have they not become an object for the purchase of luxuries! The money received for the needs of agricultural producers should be used for the intended purpose", - concluded the head of Anticor.
